Located in Paris, the main Toum association gave birth to other Toum associations and Toum affiliated groups (Paris and suburbs, throughout France and in several other countries). As friends and affiliated groups, we get together. One can study the basics with these teachers, and join the main group for seminars or for more advanced courses. Time permitting we take part in federation sponsored events: The Federation Tai Chi festival, regional festivals, Spring University, China Year, the TCFE European forums, etc ... and those of us that are interested also take part in French and European championships, as Europa taichi 2006 & 2009. We consider the competitions, in traditionnal styles, mostly as meetings between internal arts players. Since 1993 Toum as a group, has regularly won medals in open hand and weapon forms competitions. Among the most recent results, in May 2004, the Toum team won the gold medal for the open hand group form, and the gold medal for the group saber form. In January 2005, at the French traditional tai chi chuan championship organized by the FTCCG/FFWaemc, Toum practitioners won the gold medal for weapon and for open hand group forms: silver medal for the men and bronze medal for the women. In January 2006, only the open hand group form competition took place, and the Toum team won the gold medal. Individual medals won by each competitor are mentioned on their own page.
